Who Are We?
VFC MOPS exists to provide a place for all mothers to experience a loving and accepting environment intended to encourage, equip and develop them as moms of preschoolers. We hope for everyone to realize her potential as a woman, friend and mother while enjoying laughter, community and encouragement in the journey. Members of MOPS do not have to be church members.
Mentor Moms share their knowledge and wisdom while offering encouragement through discussion group involvement and our mentor moments at each meeting. We have guest speakers to offer information, challenge and encouragement that is relevant to us as women and mothers at this stage in their lives. During the meeting, there will be time to discuss in small groups the subject of the meeting. Moms will have the opportunity to ask and answer questions. At most meetings, women get the opportunity to explore their crafty sides with an easy creative activity provided by VFC MOPS. Childcare is provided at the church through the MOPPETS program. We provide a fun, nurturing environment for children to play and learn while moms take a well-deserved break. MOPS meets from 9:30-11:30am during the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of each month during the school year. Play dates, Girls Night Out, and family fun events are also all part of the MOPS experience. There is a $75 fee for joining MOPS, which includes the MOPS International fee ($25) and the Vaughn Forest Charter fee ($50). Please contact us if you have any questions about scholarships. Your membership comes with many benefits such as a HelloDearest magazine subscription, Weekly Mom-E-Mails, a MOPS welcome packet, and much more. |
